Douala 4 DO Bans Kamto’s Rally

The DO for Douala 4 has issued an order banning the planned rally of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement party flag bearer, Maurice Kamto, in his area of command.

Ekoa Mbarga Jean-Marc cited non respect of article 93 Section 3 of the electoral code in Cameroon.

He said there is no space for such meeting to take place given that a demand for authorisation arrived his service on September 21st, one day to the previewed date of the rally.

The scenerio is coming after Cabral Libii of UNIVER party battled with management at Stade Cicam, the Douala 5 DO and SDO for Wouri to be allowed to organise a rally Sunday September 23rd in Douala.

The Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul ATANGA NJI finally ruled in favour of Cabral Libii.

Professor Maurice Kamto, CRM

Will it be a similar situation this time? Will Maurice Kamto decide to occupy the Esplanade of GBHS Bonaberi as planned against all odds?

Only time will tell!
