The Race to Etoudi Kicks Off in Earnest

Presidential candidates in Cameroon officially began wooing voters this midnight.

This is in line with Section 87: (1) of the Electoral Code which states that the election campaign shall open on the 15th (fifteenth) day preceding the election and close at midnight on the eve of the election day.

This Saturday, candidates will hold campaign rallies to that effect. While the situation in Bamenda, Buea, Kumba, Limbe, Mundemba, Menji, Kumbo, Belo, Mbengwi, Mamfe… remains uncertain, electorates in Douala are bracing themselves to storm campaign grounds to see which candidate has the best to offer.

In Douala 4, Professor Maurice Kamto of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement party will be holding a grand rally in Bonaberi, while Joshua Osih of the SDF will begin his campaign rally in Wouri and extend to the Moungo Division Littoral region of Cameroon.

Barrister Akere Muna will be talking about his republican values at the Yaoundé Conference Centre. “Join us, September 22, 2018 from 9AM at the Yaoundé Conference Center. It will be a pleasure to share with you, at this convention, my political program and our vision for the New Republic” Akere Muna said.

The programmes of Adamou Ndam Njoya and Garga Haman Adji are yet to be unveiled. Meanwhile, CPDM campaign managers are already deployed across the country and on social media.
The battle line is drawn!
