FECAFOOT Elections: Candidate withdraws from race, backs Samuel Eto’o Fils

The race for the presidency of the FECAFOOT is gradually heating up with one candidate already dropped out of the race.

Ivo Chi, a renowned football agent and former FECAFOOT President hopeful has withdrawn his candidacy from the race and publicly backed Football Legend, Samuel Eto’o Fils for the top job.

Speaking after his withdrawal from the race, Ivo Chi endorsed Eto’o Fils, saying that the footballer is “A blessing to Cameroon, and we have nothing else to do than to back him…”

He also urged other Presidential hopefuls to follow his footsteps by backing out of the race and to support Eto’o, as he believes the former player has the vision and pedigree to boost Cameroon’s Football.

“It is a gift for Cameroonians to have Eto’o as a candidate as he doesn’t only possesses everything needed for the job, but he is exactly what Cameroonian football needs. We no longer want to have children of former ministers who know nothing about football than to put on fancy suits and go collect trophies,” he said.
