The first Vice President of the Cameroon Football Federation, Celine Eko received the Indomitable Lions U20 Francophonie Games gold medalists.
The champions were received yesterday August 8, 2023, at the headquarters of the Federation.
The U20 Indomitable Lions of Cameroon won the football final of the Francophonie Games 2023 after defeating Burkina Faso 2-1 at the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa.
The U20 Lions were of the most dominant teams in the competition, winning all of their group games and then defeating Morocco in the semi-finals.
The victory is considered a major boost for Cameroonian football, which has been struggling in recent years. The U20 Lions’ success will hopefully inspire the senior team.
