The public funeral of the five delegates whose remains were recently exhumed is currently underway at the Limbe Centenary Stadium in the South West Region of Cameroon.
Present at the funeral are the Prime Minister’s envoy, the Director of Cabinet of the Prime Minister, Balungeli Confiance Ebune, the Governor of the South West Region, and other government authorities.

The delegates were six in total who were abducted and killed in June 2021, in a mass assassination orchestrated by a separatist commander known as ‘General’ 10 Kobo.
One of the delegates is reported to have died earlier than the others and was buried separately. The corpse is yet to be found.
Thousands of people have turned out to say their final farewells to the deceased delegates.
