The Gendarmerie Legion in Logone-and-Chari, Far North, carried out a large-scale operational readiness exercise for its personnel on January 31, involving a high-intensity fitness march that mobilized nearly all gendarmerie elements in the city.
Covering a route of approximately 20 kilometers, the gendarmes, particularly the National Gendarmerie Commandos, passed through several urban neighborhoods as well as more remote areas, demonstrating endurance, discipline, and seamless coordination.
This maneuver tested the physical resilience of the troops while strengthening unit cohesion and esprit de corps.

Beyond the physical aspect, the activity reflects the unwavering determination of the National Gendarmerie Commandos to remain ready, responsive, and operationally capable in the face of security challenges specific to the Logone-and-Chari Division.
The high visibility of troops on the ground also sent a reassuring message to the population—that of a vigilant, present, and committed security force.
This strictly supervised fitness march is part of an ongoing operational readiness effort essential to maintaining order, protecting people and property, and preserving peace in this strategic area.
Through this initiative, the Logone-and-Chari Gendarmerie Legion reaffirms its commitment to maintaining personnel who are physically hardened, morally strong, and fully dedicated to serving the nation.
