Gunmen believed to be separatist fighters are reported to have killed a youngster passing for an Amba boy in Bamenda, capital of Cameroon’s restive North West region.
The suspected Amba fighters are said to have shot dead the alleged impostor at Ntarikon Market. This was on Thursday March 17.
Reports say the man was shot several times as he tried to escape while in the hands of his captors on a motorbike.
The bike had been stuck in traffic around Old Simplicity Junction, Ntarikon Bamenda, when the deceased seized the chance to escape, but was shot severally.
Reports hold that the man had been taken by the separatists fighters for harassing and seizing people’s properties at gun point in the name of being an Amba boy.
