A member of the security forces was killed yesterday in Babadju-West region by unknown assailants.
The officer whose name MMI got as Mbonte Roland Nkumbe who hails from Muabi village in the the Kupe Muanenguba Division-South West Region.
Mbonte Roland who worked at an identification post, had gone to see off guests near 8 PM and was attacked on his way back.
Attacked at a neighbour’s compound where he parks his car, “he ran into the man’s house and room. They followed him there and shot him” a source tells MMI adding that unfortunately “he didn’t go out with his gun” and so could not fight back.
At press time, the culprits of the act are yet to be found leaving several doubts on the reason(s) for the brutal attack.
