Hon Joshua Osih, flagbearer of the SDF party has paid an emotional tribute to a fallen soldier who was killed while defending Cameroon’s territorial integrity in the Far North region of Cameroon.
He said engaging into a senseless war and risking lives of citizens will not be part of he mission when he takes over on October 7th.
“During a visit in the Northern Regions in 2015, I met Captain YARI Emmanuel, a promising career soldier, now gone just a few weeks after our meeting. Our country can’t keep up with the on-going wars.
Our youths can’t be the ones losing their lives when so many solutions exist to bring back the peace. During my mandate, I will work toward bringing back real peace.
Peace in the Northern Regions, peace in SW and NW but more importantly peace in our hearts.
In a country where every social group will be included, where every citizen will be entitled to a decent salary and feel protected by the nation, our youths will no more loose their lives in wreckless wars.
Please join me in paying tribute to YARIS Emmanuel and all the souls (both soldiers and civilians) that we lose everyday in the four regions of the country experiencing civil strife. My warm regards to his family.
#Peace #Cameroon #RIP”
