Fo’o Tchendjou II of Bamendjou has said there is a need to revisit and reconcile with history to solve Cameroon’s current predicaments.
In a statement that has gone viral on Social media, the traditional ruler highlighted honesty, sincerity, Dialogue and forgiveness as key items necessary for the reconciliation process.
“Let us reconcile ourselves to our history, painful as it may be and set the paths of the future in an honest and just manner” he said.
The reconciliation he went on, should also be “with it’s first president, the father of Independence” who’s neglect may be a course to the nation, with regards to our African tradition.

Decrying tribalism in this “defining moment in our history”, Fon Fo’o called on all to aim at achieving a Cameroon that is bot based on tribal lines.
“May those who govern us today become aware for once and have good faith and love for the country” he stated. This will in turn lay a foundation for a solid Cameroon without discrimination,” he noted.
Fo’o Tchendjou’s recent statement comes on the eve of the the much anticipated national dialogue who’s announcement has since been followed by preconditions from the different stakeholders involved.
The traditional ruler from the West Region of Cameroon, had told the PM to ensure that a genuine and broad-based dialogue is established for peace to return in the conflict hit North West and South West regions.
