Mbankomo: Motorbike rider torn to shreds in gruesome accident

A Motorbike rider lost his life today May 26, 2023, in Mbankomo, in the Centre region from “a terrible” accident.

The victim, whose name MMI got as Olivier, a mechanic by profession, got severely crushed after colliding with a private car on the Douala highway.

The car in question reportedly had a break failure when it crushed Olivier according to witnesses. The victim was chopped in half from his waist down, causing him to die on the spot.

This is the second fatal accident reported today after the Eseka bus collision on the Douala highway that also killed several passengers.

There has been a recent upsurge of road accidents in Cameroon, that have been very fatal. Cameroon’s Transport ministry in the past has promised proper measures to mitigate such occurrences. As of now, no concrete measures apart from sanctions on bus agencies have been observed.
