Mysterious Death of Douala Boy: Opinions flow as many believe boy was hexed
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The shocking story in Douala where a boy suddenly began decomposing after helping an elderly woman by the road has left multitudes baffled and searching for logical answers.

The story says that the victim, while taking a walk in the city, was approached by the elderly woman who requested him to help her dial a number with her phone.

Gladly and willingly, he rendered this favour to the strange elderly woman and went his way. However while he got away from the woman, he began having the odd feeling of something not being right with him, eventually discovering that part of his skin had started to decompose.

The decomposition process was so fast that it only took two days for his whole body to rot right up to his face. He would eventually give up the ghost with his whole body already unrecognizable.

Many have blamed the death of this boy on the elderly woman who asked for help as they say it cannot be a simple coincidence for such to happen barely hours after his services to her.

The story has garnered a number of conflicting reactions, with a greater majority of persons believing that the woman is responsible for the affliction on the boy.

Reacting to this on social media, an anonymous individual wrote “…these are the kinds of stories that scare people away from rendering acts of random kindness with the mere fact that you can’t tell who is genuine in quest for help. It’s sad because the people who really need our help will suffer the most…”

Not everyone however believes that the death of the boy is caused by the elderly woman. Some have questioned the assertion and believe that there is a more logical explanation to story.

An anonymous individual wrote on Facebook “How do they know that the woman is the cause of the boy’s death…it is unfair to accuse persons without valid proof… Was he the only person the woman had come to contact with?” He asked.

The woman in question meanwhile has been placed under detention for further investigations. She maintains that she is innocent of all the accusations, adding that her demand for help was genuine.
