Dialogue is a process that is never concluded in a week or a day. The just ended Cameroon Major National Dialogue can still produce expected results if a followup committee is formed. It should be composed of conflict experts who have been to the field and understand the real picture of the conflict and NOT CPDM ELITE or ministers, senators, MPs, Mayors, and governors.Being any of the above does not necessary mean you are an expert in conflicts or a negotiator. This committee should be charged to reevaluate the resolutions or recommendations of the MND and see whether the recommendations made during the MND can arrest the immediate concerns of the anglophones on the Ground and not the Elite in Yaounde. The followup committee should also be given the mandate to chance or modify recommendations that will solve the existing situation on the ground. These are the immediate problems that need to be solved:1) Ghost Town Wahala2) Lawyers should be given access to see their clients arrested in connection of the crisis. This will build trust3) Effective Resumption of Schools4) Burning of villages and schools by those you know5) Military men found committing crimes should be judged in an open court for the people to see and build their confidence6) Cease Fire7) Stop Kidnappings8) Harassment of drivers by men in uniform especially along the Muea road that usually has 4 control posts from Mile 17.The Followup committee should be given the mandate to talk with Amba Generals and Ring Leaders so as to look for ways in which the conflict can be solved.Tah Javis MaiJournalist/Negotiatortahjavis@yahoo.com
