An unidentified young man impersonating separatist fighters has been arrested by the local population in Mile 6 , Nkwen Bamenda, Mezam division of the North West region.
He was nabbed with a fake gun in the evening of Sunday February 26, 2023.
The fake separatist fighter MMI learnt, came out to harass and extort money from locals.
The population swoop on him to discover that he was carrying a fake gun.
Locals fell on him and beat him up extensively, striping him almost naked.
At the time of this report, he was reportedly handed over to the Bamenda Central police station for further investigations.
