The population of Pouma Subdivision, in the Sanaga Maritime Division of the Littoral Region, have demanded the departure of
Yongkuma Nelson Gamsi, the current Divisional Officer of the area.

The request was made in a petition to the Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji.

The petition is signed by members of a group known as
“COLLECTIF DES POPULATIONS DE LOG SANHO – POUMA” abbreviated COLLECTF.

In their petition, the association indicated that “… shortly after taking office, Mr. YONGKUMA Nelson GAMSI (also officiating as President of the First Degree Court-TPD of Pouma), was quickly noticed negatively by his acts.”

They accuse the DO of encouraging the sale and attribution of native lands and equally disrespecting the rights of the populations during and after hearings held at the First Degree Court of Pouma.

According to them, Yongkuma Nelson Gamsi is regularly extremely drunk.

It is therefore in this light that the, population resorted to merging under an association to cry out to the MINAT boss, hoping for a possible change in the nearest future.
