The media landscape in Anglophone Cameroon has lost a prominent Photojournalist and Radio Animator in Kumba.
Obu Ivo Tarh who was commonly called Oga Li died this Tuesday following a protracted illness. “He’s not been sound for the last two years. But he had regain stamina and was fast recovering.
Lastly spoke with him a week ago. I only stepped out to be told he died today,” a colleague who is still to come to terms with his death said.
Obu Ivo Tarh who is in his 40s, died at a Kumba based health facility.
He has been described as one of the most daring journalists in Kumba as he has been in the heart of the Anglophone crisis coverage since it escalated in 2016.
Besides working for local stations like Ocean City, Lakeside Radio, Oga Li was equally the Kumba based correspondent of Equinoxe TV and radio.
