Wazizi Case: CAMASEJ cancels planned march to the Ekounu mortuary

The Cameroon Association of English Journalists (CAMASEJ) has reportedly postponed their planned march to the mortuary in Yaounde along with the family of Samuel Wazizi.

The planned march was cancelled on advice from the counsel, Mimi Mefo Info was told.

“The lawyer will file a lawsuit next Tuesday requesting for an independent autopsy. Only then can we know the next step to take” an association member said.

Though there is no clear date as to when the planned march along with the family will take place, reports however say everyone including family and the journalists remain mobilised and ready to do their all to ensure Wazizi gets justice for his death.

Government forces abducted Samuel Wazizi on August 2nd 2019, killed him days after and the truth only got revealed early June 2020 – almost one year later.
