A man suffering from a mental illness man is said to have stormed a house in Batcham, in the West Region of Cameroon, killing two women, and leaving the husband severely injured.
According to reports, the man said to be a former bike rider in the town of Yaounde, escaped from the hands of a native doctor, where he was receiving medication.
After successfully escaping the latter’s place, he hurriedly stormed a man’s home where he attacked two women with a machete, killing them on the spot.
In an attempt to rescue the two women, the husband sustained severe injuries, which according to reports left him in a coma.
The mentally ill man was apprehended and put under custody by the elements of the Batcham Gendarmerie.
