Yaounde: Regional Delegate of Public Health orders closure of hospital for incompetence

The Centre Regional Delegate of Public Health has ordered the closure of the hospital known as Marie Wyss Hospital, located in the Nsimeyong, Centre region of Cameroon due to the mediocrity of staff.

The information is contained in a release by the Regional Delegate of Public Health signed on January 24, 2023.

According to the release, several deaths have been recorded in the health facility as a result of its deteriorated health services.

“As of the date of signature of this Memorandum, the Marie Wyss Hospital, located in the Nsimeyong Health Area in the District of Efoulan, is suspended until further notice from all activities and health care,” stated the Delegate of Public Health in a statement.

The suspension follows, ” … the poor quality of care offered to the populations which has led to avoidable deaths of certain patients of this Hospital,” he added.

It should be noted that this health facility is just one among many existing others offering mediocre services to patience across the country.
