Njikwa which is situated in Momo Division, North West region has been one of the most fated and deserted areas in the Anglophone regions.
Since the crisis transformed into an armed conflict, there have been unofficial reports of abandonment of duty posts by local officials: DOs, Mayors and other civil servants.
Government High School Njikwa is now in ruins. Kids have not been to school since the crisis escalated. Many denizens who escaped persistent gun battles between the military and pro-independence fighters are now in Bamenda or French speaking parts of the country.
