The bodies of four-year-old Kimbeng Christopher and two-year-old Perrick Beca have been laid to rest at Kosala 2, Kumba, Meme Division in the South West of Cameroon.

The kids took their last breath minutes after eating leftover potatoes prepared Monday, July 27, 2020.

According to Achamo Christina, mother of the kids who spoke to a Kumba-based reporter, the kids were in good health after consuming the food. Suddenly she was called that they have developed stomach complications.

Rushed to a hospital, they were confirmed dead by a medical doctor.

Not convinced of the sad news, the family is reported to have taken bodies of the kids to a well-known Kumba-based prophet, Prophet Kevin noted for performing miracles.
After minutes of prayers, the situation remained the same.

A witness has told Mimi Mefo Info that the entire family ate the same food the day before the incident but just the kids ate the leftovers Tuesday, July 28.

No one at the moment can tell what transpired overnight. Investigations have been opened.
