A military checkpoint was ambushed and set on fire by separatist fighters on Wednesday, September 14, at the Veterinary junction in Bui, North West Region of Cameroon.
The act was reportedly carried out by the Bui Unity Warriors. Members of the roup in a video spoke of the check point: “This is where they come and spend their time, we have set it on fire.”
According to CNA, “during the ambush, the government forces are said to have escaped by shooting in the air. Casualties could not be independently confirmed by the CNA newsroom.”
This is the second time the military checkpoint suffers an attack from the separatist in a single week. The first attack cost the lives of two military officials.
