Omnisport Bepanda residents, in Cameroon’s commercial city are decrying what they have described as “irritating smell” emerging from abandoned rubbish in their neighborhood.
According to locals, the rubbish heap has been neglected and abandoned in their neighborhood for several weeks, leaving an intensely irritating smell in the entire area.
“In Omnisport stadium Bepanda, the smell from the refuse dump is killing us,” a source told MMI, lamenting.
“People sell cooked food around this area, bars operate here, shaving places are all around the place. How are we expected to cope?” our source wondered.
The locals are calling on the government to address the issue.
