The Ministry of Public Health in an operation yesterday September 14, at the Mokolo market in Yaoundé, capital city of Cameroon, seized a large stock of drugs which they termed ‘fake’.
The information was disclosed in a tweet by the MINSANTE boss, Dr Manaouda Malachie.
The operation was carried out by a team of the public health Ministry, alongside the operational command post of the National Gendarmerie.
In his tweet, the MINSANTE boss applauded their efforts. He wrote: “Congratulations to our teams and to the Operational Command Post of the National Gendarmerie, who have just seized large stocks of fake drugs at the Mokolo market in Yaounde.”
” Sensitization continues, as well as field operations within the context of this control, ” added Dr Manaouda Malachie.
It should be recalled that a large stock of fake medicines was equally seized and incinerated in Bertoua recently.
