Five players of the Bamenda-based Amputee football club, Abakwa Boys AFC have been preselected with twenty others from different clubs in the country to take part in one-month camping in Yaounde ahead of the Amputee African Cup of Nations to take place in Tanzania.
According to the head coach of the Cameroon National Amputee selection, Mbakwa Donald, the preparatory phase will produce 12 players for the final list who will represent Cameroon at the continental showpiece that will run from the 25th of November to the 5th of December 2021.
The five Abakwa Boys AFC players selected for the training camp are:
1. Nkam Elvis
2. Bukware Lawrence
3. Fon Dieudonne
4. Agbor Clevis
5. Shaibu Aboubakar Oballe
During this year’s Cameroon Amputee National League, the Abakwa Boys AFC emerged champions winning two other trophies for best player and Best Goalkeeper.
The National team coach says, he used the tournament to select his players for the Amputee African Cup of Nations.
